This is an 'in brief' information site for an alumni group known as the Committee of Convocation. It lists some of the events, tours and meetings members attended.

ABOUT THE GROUP
The group meets once a month. It is mainly made up of graduates of many of the faculties and schools of the University of Melbourne.

Assos. Prof. "KO" James Kim On Chong-Gossard
Faculty of Arts, University of Melbourne, Classics
James Harvey Kim On Chong-Gossard (who goes by "K.O.") was born in the USA in Pennsylvania and raised in Ohio, went to grad school in Michigan, and taught at Kalamazoo College before moving to the southern hemisphere in 2001.
His primary area of research is Greek tragedy; he has also conducted research in ancient drama more generally, and in Roman social history. He has also taught Ancient Greek and Latin at all levels. He collects teddy bears (over 250 are in his office!) and loves cats. He is also a genealogist and has published books on his Chinese American family in Hawaii.

March 15, 2023 resolved that the group departs from its formal Agenda and goes into one year in the Transitional mode till May 2024 with only a lunch and speaker format. Depending on how that fares the group will decide what to do next.
May 17, 2023
Speaker and Lunch only
The first meeting on May 17 had very poor attendance with 6 present in person and 1 via Zoom. The speaker was excellent. She was Prof Claire Roberts Art Historian at the University of Melbourne.
There will be no more speakers arranged till attendance numbers improve.
